Concordia Pollinators Initiative
Seed Library
Wild bees, many of which are native to North America, don't produce honey but are far more effective pollinators than honey bee species. One way that we can help them thrive is by planting more native plants that are preferred by wild bees. Seed libraries are a way in which to produce a sustainable supply of flowering plants; once the plants flower and are pollinated, seeds are produced by the plant. These seeds can then be harvested and used for planting in the next season.

How a Seed Library Works
1. CPI will provide you with a variety of free pollinator seeds
2. Your job will be to plant them in your garden and harvest the seeds once they're ready
3. You then return a portion of the seeds harvested to the library
4. We redistribute the seeds for the next planting season
